Commission a Personal Podcast!
So here's the deal. For $300, you can pick two-ish hours of any media, movies, TV shows, or video games, and Jim and A.Ron will consume it, and produce a podcast on it. You will be allowed to submit pre-feedback on the media before we record it, and will be credited by name on the podcast for our generous commission. We're pretty flexible with "two-ish" hours. In general this means one movie, two "prestige network" (HBO/Showtime, etc) television episodes, three network or episodes, or two to three hours of gameplay.
Now, this is a lot of money, and the last thing we want is for you to be unhappy with your purchase, so please keep the following in mind. We absolutely CANNOT issue refunds in the event you hate the podcast we produce. You are paying for our time to watch/play your choice, do the research and note taking required to make a podcast, and then actually record and produce it. Our time is non-refundable, and thus so is your purchase.
Keeping that in mind, you can commission anything you want, but in our experience, these types of media are more tricky than others: comedies (they just tend to be less interesting and insightful), television shows (unless you know we've seen the whole thing, we can't really give you the comprehensive podcast you've come to expect from Bald Move), or any media that you love to an extent that it would actually hurt your feelings if we said something negative or just didn't enjoy. We can't promise anything other than consuming your chosen media and giving our honest opinions on it. We don't want to scare you away, but we'd rather you not commission than commission and be unhappy. When in doubt, you can always email us at email@example.com and we'll talk it over!
Finally, if this is a gift for a special occasion, please let us know as far in advance as possible. For one thing, we need to hide your commission in the queue so we don't spoil your surprise. But for another, our queue (http://baldmove.com/commissioned-podcasts/) is usually back logged 3-6 months out, so plenty of lead time is required to hit birthdays, anniversaries, and especially major holidays such as Christmas. We'll do everything we can to accommodate your request, but we're not miracle workers and it's not fair to other commissioners to juke the queue any more than necessary.
